What This Retreat Is About
This isn't a simple wellness escape.
You're not broken. You're not "too much," too sensitive, too anxious, too tired to just get on with it.
You're a nervous system that learned, a long time ago, that staying alert, staying capable, staying in control = keeping you safe. That system did its job. It got you here.
But a body that's been in "manage it" mode for years doesn't know how to downshift on its own. It needs somewhere safe enough, and long enough, to finally exhale.
That's what these four days are for.
This is not about "fixing yourself".
It’s about giving your body and nervous system the space to come out of survival mode, soften what’s been tightly held, and reconnect with the part of you that feels clearer, steadier, and more like yourself.
Meet Christine
I didn't arrive at this work from theory. I arrived at it from survival.
I've faced my own reckonings with the body — a breast cancer diagnosis I had to walk through and come out the other side of. And I grew up with a loss no one should have to carry: my mother took her own life when I was in my twenties.
I'm not telling you this for sympathy. I'm telling you because it's why I refuse to offer you anything vague, trendy, or purely energetic. After cancer, I experienced severe anxiety myself. I knew logically that I was healthy and safe now, but my body didn't always get that message. That experience changed the way I understood fear, stress and recovery, and showed me very clearly that insight alone isn't always enough.
So my approach is grounded, structured, and deeply human. I trained in Root Cause Therapy, Embodied Processing, trauma-informed coaching and Somatic Release Breathwork, Mental Fitness Coaching, and Holistic Nutrition – not to collect certificates, but because I wanted to understand what actually helps people shift the patterns that logic and insight alone don't always reach.
Cancer recovery and empowerment has increasingly become a central part of that work. I now offer dedicated support for the mental and emotional side of life during and after cancer, because I know that terrain both personally and professionally. In fact, this is the last retreat I am offering that is open to anyone. After this, I’ll be focusing much more closely on cancer recovery support and retreats.
I'm not a "woo-woo" facilitator. I'm someone who takes your nervous system seriously — and who also knows, from the inside, that healing needs more than logic alone. It needs a body that can begin to feel safe enough to soften, reconnect and move forward.

The Shift You're Looking For

Picture the version of you who isn't gritting her teeth through the day. Who can feel a hard emotion without being hijacked by it. Who trusts her own body again and not because she fixed herself, but because she finally gave it room to settle.
That's not a fantasy. It's what happens when a nervous system that's been in high gear for years finally gets four full days of the right conditions: safety, breath, nature, and expert guidance.
This isn't about becoming someone new. It's about coming back to who you were before the world asked you to armor up.What You'll Experience
Over the 4 days, you’ll be guided through a trauma-sensitive retreat experience that includes:

Gentle movement and breath practices to unwind tension, build capacity, and start the day feeling more present.

Four carefully chosen journeys to help you arrive in your body, unwind emotional and nervous system tension, and support what unfolds to settle more deeply into everyday life.

A sound bath with gong and crystal bowls inviting your system into deep rest, integration, and receptivity.

A guided hike to a nearby waterfall with the option to swim and reconnect with the steadier rhythms of the natural world.

Time to rest, float in the pool, enjoy the sauna and hot tub, journal in the garden, or sit with the two "therapy donkeys" and breathe.

To frame your journey, honour what’s shifting, and help the experience settle more deeply beyond these few days away.
Client Love
"I would recommend this retreat to everyone as the experience was profound in a way which is hard to describe as it has changed me on a level I cannot explain rationally. I feel more balanced, happy and collected than ever before. As if I had a factory reset. I laugh off stressful situations and feel emotionally healthy."
Mari L.
"Before I experienced the breathwork session with Christine I felt heavy emotionally. I was afraid to really let go in the session, but I felt encouraged, supported and safe enough to go there. I’m so happy I did. Your leadership and positive attitude before and after really helped my comfort level. I was hesitant to participate because I thought I might be scared to go deep enough, but your warm generosity in holding space for each of us encouraged me to really go for it.
I feel lighter and more in touch with my inner sadness and pain. I feel less afraid of those emotions and now feel like they are more integrated, instead of being the scary enemy. THANK YOU!!!"

"There was a life before and now there is a life after today's breathwork session. I cannot even begin to explain how powerful this journey was. I am awakening to a whole new reality. This session feels like it's the beginning of my new life."
Morgane W.
"I was lucky enough to attend a breathwork retreat with Christine in El Chorro. It was very well run and the breathwork sessions were beyond my expectations. It was extremely powerful and emotional but released a lot of pain I had not even realised I was carrying around. It really has been a huge step on the path to improving my mental health and spiritual journey, thank you from the bottom of my heart!"

This retreat is for you if
It’s a good fit if:
You’re ready to meet yourself more honestly.
Your nervous system has been in high gear for a long time.
You want to feel at home in your body again.
You’ve already “done work” on yourself, but something still feels stuck.
You’re moving through a transition.
You long for honest, grounded connection with other women.
You’re willing to participate.

“Is This for Me?” – Common Questions
All practices are guided step by step, with options to go slower, pause, or adapt. You’ll always be invited, never pushed.
This retreat is not about pushing through. It’s about creating the right conditions for change by moving at a pace your system can actually work with. You can always slow down, opt out of any practice, or ask for support in the moment.
The experience is designed so you don’t feel like the odd one out if you arrive without a friend. There will be connection, but also plenty of space to be by yourself when you need it.
This retreat can complement ongoing therapy or coaching well because it works more directly with the body and nervous system.
Practices are invitational and adaptable. You can sit, lie down, move gently, or rest whenever needed. If you’re unsure, you’re welcome to reach out before booking.
The Place & Accommodation
We’ll be staying at a hilltop retreat space near Guaro, in the mountains behind Marbella.
You’ll sleep in cozy glamping bell tents overlooking the valley and mountains, each with two separate high-quality beds on proper wooden frames and comfortable mattresses.
- Shared occupancy: 2 women per tent (single beds)
- A very limited number of single-occupancy spots are available
- Float in the pool
- Relax in the sauna or hot tub
- Rest in the garden or journal in a quiet corner
- Spend time with the two gentle “therapy donkeys”
Food – Nourishment as Part of the Experience

Past participants spoke about the food again and again, not just because it was delicious, but because it felt so deeply nourishing. The kind of food that comforts, grounds, and gives your body real support while you’re moving through inner work.
This retreat may not be the right fit if:
There will be rest, beauty, and pleasure, but this is not a surface-level getaway.
This is a sober, intentional, women-only space with both connection and quiet.
For example recent severe trauma, active addiction, unmedicated psychosis, or suicidality. In that case, a different level of 1:1 support is more appropriate right now.
This retreat can be a powerful catalyst, but lasting change takes time and repeated embodied experience.
You’ll always be invited to listen to your body, pause, opt out, or adapt as needed.

Not because you have to force your way into healing.
But because when the body is given the right conditions, something new becomes possible.
